Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks. Obviously to layer tracks, I've gotta be able to hear my previous work and recordings through headphones while recording the next track, so this can't be a built in limitation of the software. On the PC I am able to do both things at the same time. When I hit the "song setup" tab that brings up "audio I/O Setup", I only get check boxes next to either the inputs or the outputs, depending on whether I've chosen "built-in input" or "built-in output" as my audio device.ģ: Compared the situation between my Mac and my PC. Unfortunately, it seems that I am forced to pick either built-in input OR built-in output in audio setup for Studio One 2 free. You only need to downgrade to Skype 8.49.0.49 if you are running OSX Mavericks 10.9. You can install that version and temporarily block updates until they hopefully address the issue. The last version that is currently compatible is Skype 8.72.0.94. Here's what I've already done to troubleshoot:ġ: Verified that there is nothing strange happening with core audio on my Mac and that input and output work fine simultaneously in other programs, including Logic, FaceTime, and SkypeĢ: Crawled through the menus in Studio One and this forum, trying to make sure I'm not missing something simple. Ultimately, either Skype 8.72 or 8.73 will be the final standalone release supporting that OS. This is really abnormal and seems unique to Mac, as the program on my Windows machine allows me to select "Windows Audio" as the audio device and have simultaneous input and output. When setting up the audio paths, I am only able to select "built-in input" OR "built-in output" as my audio device. I just downloaded Studio One 2 Free to try out (I'm a long time Logic user) and I immediately ran into a problem while using it with Yosemite. I saw this post and I'm having a similar issue, so I thought I'd tag in for help. That was the answer Thank you Thank You Two days but I got there! free version I wish I could get it working but I have no idea what I can do. I tried switching mute and solo but to no avail. They say Studio one is working for mavericks. I went to the Sweetwater Link great store by the way I get all my gear from them. Note: at the time the OP's S1 version wasn't shown.Ģ) Also for me, (others have reported it over time too) on some occasions the "Solo" and "Mute" track buttons get confused. The 2.6.1 update for Studio one is in the works which will fix the problem. A new post on Presonus' website however states that they have identified a problem with Studio One 2.6.0 and the final release of Mac OS 10.9. Presonus has been stating 10.9 pre-release compatibility for some time now. 1) I remember certain issues with certain DAW's when using "Mavericks".
